I would like to welcome you to my world of photography. My love for photography is only exceeded by the love I have for my wife Barbara, my son Jason and his wife Brandy, my Grandson Benjamin and my daughter Debbie and son-in-law Kerry.
I enjoy all types of photography as you'll see here on my Blog, but photographing people is my favorite. I truly enjoy Weddings/Engagements, Bar/Bas Mitzvahs, Quinceanera, Families, Models and just people in general. Photographing the children from the Camarillo Academy Performing Arts (CAPA) and Sophie Dance brings joy to my heart watching these talented youngsters perform. Quite often I want to put the camera down and just watch them.
There is no greater joy than photographing my Grandson Benjamin.
Please enjoy my images, drop me a comment as often as you like.

Louise McCartney recently graduated with her BFA in theatre performance from Baylor University. Her most recent role was Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown, the Musical. She recently moved from Texas to North Hollywood to pursue her acting and modeling career. She thanks God and her family for supporting her and helping her make her dreams a reality.
Thanks to Shannon Nicole Make Up for doing such a great job on Louise’s hair and make-up.

This delightful family goes back a long time with our family. Danielle has been best friends with my daughter since the sixth grade and was her Matron -of-Honor at Deb’s recent marriage. Jerry has become a good friend since their marriage and as you can tell Braden and Lil’ Trevor are just the cutest little guys.

Terry and Seleta are my “partners in crime” when it comes to doing weddings. Not only are the terrific friends but outstanding photographers as well. So when they asked me to take some family shots for them with their son Ian and a few promotional images, I was honored. Terry’s “day job” is being one of Oxnard’s finest, when I asked him to give me the “bad-ass” cop look, he smiled….Seleta has a full time job in the medical field plus her full time job with Ian, one of the more important jobs in the world. You can see their fine wedding photography at Eternally Yours Photography.

October 4, 2009 - 8:52 pm - Hi Al! These are great! Thank you so much! We had a blast yesterday and can't wait to see the rest.
Amanda is 19 years old and will be 20 in 6 days. She is majoring in Psychology at Moorpark College and loves to analyzing people. Ever since she was little it was her secret dream to be a supermodel, and now she can actually say it out loud and do her best to work toward that dream. She has always been “that really tall girl,” and used to hate it, but now loves it because it’s something else that makes her unique, and something that people want in the modeling industry.

One of the diseases that I hate the most is Cancer, it took my father and has affected several of my friends, one of which I was just told about a day or two ago. So when Aimee (a Mom from CAPA) and a great friend asked if I could donate something for the silent auction, there was not a moment’s hesitation. I went on to ask Aimee, who took pictures at the event. She told me no one really, so I volunteered. It was a great event that both Barbara and I enjoyed being a part of and I encourage everyone to visit their web site at www.sammiescircle.org and learn about the fine things they’ve done, consider making a donation and coming to next years event.
The Committee, as you see in the primary picture, was lead by Bonnie, Sammie’s daughter (third from the right). There was an inspirational talk by Dr. Martin Kast that really made everyone in the room understand the good that Sammie’s Circle is doing in the fight against Cancer. The other images are random images from the event.

October 8, 2009 - 2:02 pm - Wow!! What great photos!! Al, we (I) can't thank you enough for your generous gifts to our event this year. The pictures are fantastic and will help all of us fondly remember the day. We look forward to having you at all the events. - Bonnie
September 29, 2009 - 7:57 pm - Al-again words cannot express how grateful I am. You are a gifted photographer with a heart of gold. thank you, thank you, thank you.
September 29, 2009 - 4:01 pm - Al - thanks so much for your presence and contribution to Sammie's Circle. This event each year is very special for all of us who were friends of Sammies. As her daughters take over the "business" from all of us "oldies" we love to experience the changes and the enthusiasm while still retaining the "grass roots" basis of our group. I look forward to seeing you and your wife next year. It's wonderful to have a professional eye taking pictures for us and our memories. I will definitely call you for our next family photo. Karen
My neighbor Billy asked if I would like to come out and photography some future NFL stars that he coaches, how could I say No?. Billy gives of time because of his love for the kids and football. He doesn’t have a child on the team. He coaches the Titans and they were playing the Outlaws. Well shooting the game was more work and difficult than I thought. So even know it was fun, I think I’m going to leave it to the pros like Arash Afshari of HighLightPhotos. Visit his site for really great action shots.

September 19, 2009 a day that will always be remembered by the family and friends of Caitlin and Robert, Their wedding was a beautiful affair held at the Los Robles Golf Club in Thousand Oaks, Ca. The beautiful horse drawn carriage was courtesy of Enchanted Carriages. Music and Master of Ceremonies was Cliff Housego who really kept the party going. I was assisted in shooting the evening events by the great team of Seleta and Terry Dobrosky of Eternally Yours Photography. Please visit their Blog to see some of their excellent images.

September 21, 2009 - 8:04 pm - I LOVE THEM!!!!! THEY ARE AMAZING! I CANT BELIEVE HOW GREAT THEY CAME OUT! THE SUNSET ONES ARE MY FAVORITE. :)THANK YOU SO MUCH AL! LOVE, CAITLIN AND ROBERT
Melissa was “discovered” at the age of four when her family’s Christmas card photo was seen at the home of a friend by a children’s agent. She modeled a bit for The Right Start Catalog, then took a break until middle school, going back to work for TAG Models under contract with Abrams Artists in Los Angeles. She did a little still photography work, and some film, but didn’t enjoy the commute from Ventura County, or the tedious audition process, so chose to stop and concentrate on her schoolwork and ballet during her high school years. Now beginning college, I encouraged her to be photographed, and it is evident she enjoyed being in front of the camera again. Who knows? It might be a way to pay for her education!
